Dr. Ankur Jain, MD, FACG

Board Certified Gastroenterologist & Hepatologist,

Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine,

John A. Burns School of Medicine

Dr. Ankur Jain is a Board Certified Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist and an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the John A. Burns School of Medicine. After graduating from Punahou School, he attended college and medical school at Northwestern University in Chicago. He later completed his residency in internal medicine at Loma Linda University Medical Center, where he was selected as chief resident, and his fellowship in gastroenterology at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Dr. Jain has been in private practice in Honolulu since 2013 alongside his wife, Dr. Shilpa Jain, who is also a gastroenterologist. He has been recognized by Honolulu Magazine as a "Top Doctor in Hawaii" every year since 2016. He is the immediate past Governor of Hawaii for the American College of Gastroenterology and currently serves as Chair of the Hawaii Comprehensive Cancer Coalition Steering Committee, which includes the State Colorectal Task Force.

Dr. Jain has a special interest in colorectal cancer prevention, having given numerous presentations and published multiple articles on the subject. In his free time, he enjoys swimming, watching movies, and spending time with his kids.

Dr. Shilpa Jain, MD, FACG

Dr. Shilpa Jain is a Board Certified Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist and an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the John A. Burns School of Medicine. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Southern California (USC), where she was selected as chief resident, and went on to complete her fellowship in gastroenterology at USC.

Dr. Jain has been in private practice in Honolulu since 2013 alongside her husband, Dr. Ankur Jain, who is also a gastroenterologist. She has been recognized by Honolulu Magazine as a "Top Doctor in Hawaii" every year since 2021. She currently serves as the Governor of Hawaii for the American College of Gastroenterology and as the Assistant Medical Director for Hawaii Endoscopy Center.

 

Dr. Jain has a special interest in medical education and in promoting women’s health. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, painting, dancing, and spending time with her twin teenagers.
